Warning to all artists, YOUR ARTWORK MAY BE ON THE NEW TOKYOPOP WEBSITE, without your permission!

A lot of people are posting other peoples' artwork in their "My Art" and "My Photos" section. Many people are not cooperative in taking down the artwork that we ask for them to take down. Some of them flame us, too! Please, be careful and look for your artwork on here. Also, if you can, you can join the website and help us against these people. We could use more people to make this site a better place. We don't want it to be known as commonground for art thieves!

That's all I wanted to say, just in case you guys didn't know already. ^_^

A Warning to Cosplayers about G4

Recently I recieved an email about attending a segment on "the loop" for G4's "Attack of the Show". I was excited about talking about anime and debating it as they made it sound. The first call I got after the email the woman asked how long I was into anime, what was my frist favorite series, and then she requested that on tv I wear ONE of my costumes. No specific one was mentioned in that phone call. So I wanted to wear my Mii costume.

2 phone calls later that same day a producer asked that I wore my Mink costume. I thought to myself that I didn't really want to wear it, but since it was a show and that's what they wanted I said ok. They asked me to be really excited and hyper and just upitry about anime.. Which I can be, but normally I don't act that way. The next day they called requesting that I wore that costume. He said "You're gonna wear the Mink costume right? -- Great!" And I thought that something was weird because he kept mentioning it.

I get to the studio and there is only a camera, 2 bright lights and a little speaker in my ear to hear what's going on. I couldn't see who I was talking to nor what I looked like on the television. The dicussion was really short, and when they talked to me on the phone, they made the debate sound more meaningful. Instead they called me an "anime fanatic" and tried to make all cosplayers/anime lovers out to be idiots. I didn't talk much in the segment because there was nothing really for me to argue.

This has led to people on the anime news network forums calling me fat, and telling me that I have no clue about anime, and that I look like Man Faye.

I suggest to you cosplayers out there, if you recieve anything from G4 do not accept it. They will try to make you look like a total fool.

I thought G4 had gotten bad enough when TechTV left. Now I swear not to watch any of their shows again.

Like most of the others from this same thread, I agree. She acted very calm while Kevin, the host from Attack of the Show, tried to make cosplayers seem like complete freaks who were out of touch of reality.

It would nice to see other cosplayers' opinions and discussions on this subject. But really, this is out there to tell people to WATCH OUT. Some networks looking for cosplayers are going "mainstream", trying to make us look like "over obsessive fanatics". All I ask is that you remain calm and express your opinion in a civilized manner, to prove them wrong.
